THEY'RE HERE!
Seventeen participants ranging in age from 15-18 descended upon the Hiefer Ranch from twelve different states ready to use art to change the world! The afternoon and evening were filled with frisbee, ranch rules (can't get away from them), great food, fun and games before retiring to the luxurious Heifer Hilton.

Hey, hey, hey kids! As a 2-year participant, I just want to say make sure that you cherish the time you have on the ranch and with the people surrounding you. I know you each have your own talents that complement each others and, though I won't be able to make it to the show next week, I know it will be fantastic. You've become part of a special group and together, each and every one of us can change the world.

Man I miss that stuff...I'm in large animal surgery right now - but I DO have an alpaca with a femoral fracture and sometimes I go in to his pen for a little word-at-a-time story - the stories are usually pretty short, but this is the only Llama Love I am getting for a long long time.
I will be holding a funeral for the right hemisphere of my brain soon.
